As we look toward a plan for re-opening our programs, it is extremely important that we gather some information from each of you. After reading the following information, please read each of the questions carefully and answer each one.
- New regulations limit the number of children and adults we can have in each classroom (to limit density and group size). This will mean that as we re-open, less spots will be available than we were previously licensed for. It is our hope that, over time, we will be able to return to higher numbers, but that is unknown at this time.
- Because of the limited number of spots available, we ask that if you have another option (one parent still working from home, continuing to work remotely, etc.) please use it for now. We will attempt to put less restrictions on who is eligible to attend once we have provided spots for those families who are “essential” and/or have no other options for care.
- Please be prepared to provide documentation from your employer showing you are working outside the home (and therefore need child care) if requested. While we understand that everyone is eager to return to “normal,” we have to re-open in a way that is safe and follows all recommendations and guidelines.
- Please understand that when you return, things will look much different than they did when you left. Staff will be wearing masks, parents will be unable to go to their child’s classroom, our hours will be shortened, and very strict guidelines will be followed to ensure safety and to keep everyone healthy.
Please read and answer each question below by the end of the day on Monday, May 18, 2020. Please DO NOT reply by phone or text.
