Our Staff

The most important gift we can give our children is caring, well-trained adults and time…time to explore the world around them, time to interact with other children and adults, and time to exercise and grow. Our creative staff members use all parts of the day to educate, engage the children, and encourage their love of literature.

Staff requirements…

To encourage a safe environment all staff have had their fingerprints reviewed and have been cleared through the State Criminal Review Board. A bi-annual physical and TB test are also required. Visiting students from area colleges and high schools are never left alone with the children and are always well supervised.

Professional Development…

Staff receive CPR and First Aid training. This important certification is just part of the 30 hours of training they receive every two years to assist in their ongoing professional development, while keeping current on theories of education and state regulations. The majority of our staff have advanced degrees or certification, while others are continuing their education at local colleges and universities. Our Universal Prek classrooms are guided by professionals with Masters Degrees in Elementary Education.

Staff recognize the importance of intentional play, providing a safe environment and, most of all, creating memories and friendships that will last and last. Twice yearly, our preschool staff invite families to meet and review their child’s progress, as measured by a recognized assessment instrument. When needed, and with parent permission, staff will utilize the help of therapists in our community to help encourage growth of children who may require extra assistance.
